As a congregation of
believers, our desire at Westvue is to help others come to know
God better and to
love and honor God more and more. We seek to be transformed into
the likeness of His
son, Jesus Christ, as we share the good news of God’s love for us
with our community
and with those abroad through teaching, service, compassion and
benevolence. As
described in Philippians 2:3-11, we strive to be a people not
focused on ourselves,
but with the same mind to humble ourselves and exalt God and
his Grace and Glory
to all.
We are an autonomous
body of believers, following the examples in scripture of the first
century Church. We
follow no man-made board, headquarters, or clergy, but follow the
guidance of qualified
and voluntary elders and deacons as
laid out in Titus
1:5-9 and 1Timothy 3:1-13
At Westvue, you will
find a church family that is diverse, with people from
all walks of life,
who seek to serve the Lord with joy. We are dependent on the
grace of God our
Creator, and seek to be gracious toward others.
Everyone is welcome
regardless of race, dress, or economic position.
Our church family
includes newborns and elderly and all stages in
between. We have
Bible study classes for all ages as we work to grow in faith and
knowledge of God’s
word at every age.
Faith in Christ,
repentance from sin, and baptism into Christ are encouraged and taught
at Westvue. We want
folks to live for Christ here and enjoy heaven when they die.
